April Showers

What a deary, rainy, cold weekend it has been around here. We were hoping to be able to spend some family time outside in the sunshine but weather was not permitting. We did manage to go down to the Lakeshore park on Saturday for a walk and some playtime, but it was freezing down there with the wind off the lake. Christine still had a great time on the swings, hopefully sometime this week we'll pick up a swing for her to use on our new swing set.

Sunday afternoon we had our good friends Jerry, Michele, Truman and Morrie (their dog) over for brunch. We had a really great time as usual and discussed some summertime plans (the zoo, maybe a road trip etc.) I can't wait for Truman to be mobile so that Christine and him can really play together, he's such a little flirt :) Dash was a peaceful slumbering baby during their visit and subsequently decided to stay up half the night watching movies with Ben.

Today we're back to the regular Monday duties of laundry, cooking, cleaning and children's television, ooooo... the glamorous life of a maternity leave mom. Right now I have to go rescue Dashiell - Christine has decided he needs toys and has piled about 12 of them on top of him.
