Many Warm Welcomes

Well we all had a very busy weekend around here. On Saturday we had a whole bunch of friends over to welcome Dashiell into the world - so no one feels excluded we saw; Tim and Katie, Jamie and Erin, Scott, Myriah, Ethan and Olivia and Jerry, Michele, Truman and Morrie (their dog). We had a great time catching up and eating pizza and consider ourselves lucky to have such generous and wonderful friends. The picture below is of Olivia, Dashiell, Christine and Ethan - as you can see, our attempt to get a picture of all them was not the most successful.

Sunday we had hoped to be able to go to church to show off our son, but our timing didn't quite work out so we'll try again next week. We did go over to Grandpa's house for a visit with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Matt, Aunt Boo, Uncle Luke and Amber and Uncle Mike, we also got a free dinner while we were there - woo hoo! At Grandpa's we had unexpected (but much appreciated) visitors, our friends Mark, Tracy and their son Timothy stopped by on their way home from the airport (they had just spent 8 hours on a plane from Paris). It was great seeing them and watching Christine and Timothy interact, and hopefully we can get together with them again soon. Here is a picture of their adorable son Timothy.

Both kids are doing great, Christine has become quite a little ham with all the company we've been having - showing off her twirling skills and making us all laugh. Dashiell seems to be sleeping better at night time, which is also allowing Ben and I to get a little more much needed sleep.
