5 More Sleeps!

The countdown continues, we're now only 5 more sleeps away from the big visit from Nana and Papa.

We had another busy weekend visiting with friends and family. Friday night we dropped Uncle Geof and Aunt Brenda off at the airport so they could head off on a nice vacation to London and Paris for the week, we are also dog-sitting their big lovable pooch Bear for the week for them.

Saturday we headed off to London as well - unfortunately it was only London Ontario. We went to visit our friends Mark, Tracy and their son Timothy. We had a nice visit and the kids all got to play together, here's a shot of them together on the lawn (left to right is Timothy, Christine and Dashiell). Tracy and Mark are expecting their second child in about 6 more weeks so they'll soon be just as busy as we are :)

Sunday afternoon we attended a barbecue at our friends Jerry and Michele's house. Also in attendance were their son Truman, their dog Morrie, Molly our dog, Scott and Myriah and their children Ethan and Olivia. We all had lunch then the kids took a dip in the kiddy pool. What a sight was that to see - four little kids in a small pool - there were tears, laughter and much splashing.

There also ended up being a lot of grass in the pool - and as you can see below a bunch of it ended up on Christine, or maybe, just maybe she's trying to camouflage herself for some kid of secret mission.

We then headed home with a quick stop at Grandpa's house for a swim in the big pool for all of us - Christine is getting quite brave with her swimming and has even begun practicing "jumping" in the pool (with our help), watch for her next in the summer 2024 Olympics.
