O Christmas Tree

Ben and I had one of those amazing days yesterday where we managed to get everything accomplished that we set out to do. Christine, Dash, Ben and I went and got our Christmas tree and got all the lights, garlands and decorations up. Christine was very excited to help Mommy and Daddy - although to be honest she wasn't that helpful when it came time to put the tree in the stand and straighten it all out - these skills should definitely be in a two year old's repertoire.

Dash was content to sit back and watch it all unfold around him - he was occasionally given a bulb or a Santa hat (as above) to play with.
Now that we've had our tree up for an entire day Christine and Dash continued to be fascinated by the lights and shiny things - to count - Christine has brought me ornaments 3 different times today. I'm guessing she's not that fond of the "look don't touch" rule.

We also got to visit with Santa yesterday and give him our list of goodies. The kids were really well behaved although Christine outright refused to sit on his knee. We fooled her into sitting in his chair with Dash instead and having Santa sneak up behind them for the all important photo shoot - I think it turned out well.
