Christine's apologies

On behalf of Christine and myself I would like to extend our sincere apologies for the lack of recent updates to her blog, Christine's grandparents have been sleeping in her bedroom so Christine has been sleeping in our computer room and therefore I have not had my usual access to the computer. We have also been extremely busy with visiting, rehearsal dinners, the big wedding day, Father's Day and Grandpa's birthday - whew...It can really wear a little girl out :)

So here's a catch-up on all that has been happening in Christine's world. Last week Christine's friend Timothy and his mom Tracy came by for a nice long afternoon visit, we all had a great time even if the little ones both had to have a nap mid-visit, we look forward to seeing Timothy, Tracy and Mark this upcoming weekend as well.

We also managed to squeeze in some playtime at the park with Christine's Nana and Papa where she displayed her usual excitement at using the swings, her smiles were a welcome sight after some earlier displays of grumpy baby due to teething.

Last Friday we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for my brother/Christine's Uncle Geof, Christine was very well behaved at both the church and the restaurant and everybody was happy to see her.

Saturday was the big day we were all waiting for - the wedding of Geof and Brenda. The ceremony was beautiful, it was a traditional Ukrainian Catholic wedding - and Aunt Brenda looked amazing :) Christine came to the church and once again was very well behaved, she looked extra adorable in her special dress and received many, many compliments. We then dropped her off at her paternal grandparent's house with Aunt Kathleen for a night of babysitting so we could have a night of partying - woohoo!!! The reception was lots of fun and the food was yummy - if anybody out there is hungry I've got two layers of wedding cake in my freezer.

Sunday we went out for a family breakfast with the new in-laws, the happy couple and my parents, then were off to Grandpa's house for swimming, bbq and more celebratory cake. A great big Happy Father's day goes out to Ben, Papa and Grandpa and Happy Birthday to Grandpa as well, 36 never looked so good :)

So that's what we've all been up to, today is a relaxing chore-filled day around the house as things settle a little back to normal, my parents are around until Thursday then Christine has to say a sad goodbye to Nana and Papa.
