A Cold, Wet Corn Roast

Yesterday Christine, Ben, Aunt Boo and I headed up to a big family annual gathering held outside Peterborough known as The Corn Roast. Usually it's a big affair with beach volleyball, camping, a bon fire and of course corn and other assorted goodies. However here in Southern Ontario yesterday we were suffering the tail end of Hurricane Ernesto and had cold, wet and windy weather all day. With the help of a large tarp we managed to stay dry most of the time but the cold we couldn't keep away. We had a nice time visiting with lots of relatives (Grandpa and Grandma were there as well) and Christine got to crawl around in the mud but we ended up leaving relatively early to come home. The picture above is of Christine all bundled up to help stay toasty warm.
